Commission preliminarily finds Temu in breach of the Digital Services Act in relation to illegal products on its platform

The European Commission has determined that the company Temu has violated the Digital Services Act by failing to adequately evaluate the risks associated with illegal products on its marketplace. The Commission has taken initial steps to address this breach of obligation.

European Commission Press release Brussels, 28 Jul 2025 Today, the Commission preliminarily found Temu in breach of the obligation under the Digital Services Act (DSA) to properly assess the risks of illegal products being disseminated on its marketplace.
